Be the GP you want to be...
A calm, well-run clinic where good doctors thrive
If you’ve ever worked in a chaotic or impersonal practice, you’ll feel the difference here.
At Woodville South GP, we’ve rebuilt an old community favourite into a modern, GP-owned clinic where systems, people, and leadership work together — so you can focus on great medicine, not admin headaches.

We’re a Close-Knit, Capable Team
We’re proud to have a small, stable team who genuinely enjoy working together.
Our experienced admin staff keep things running smoothly, our nurses provide exceptional clinical support, and our doctors value open communication and patient-centred care.
Regular team meetings, social catch-ups, and a collaborative culture mean you’re never left to fend for yourself — whether you’re an experienced GP looking for stability or a new fellow finding your rhythm.
Our Story
Woodville South GP sits on the site of one of the area’s oldest medical centres, which served Adelaide’s western suburbs for over half a century.
After a brief period of corporate ownership and closure in 2021, we reopened in November 2022 as a doctor-owned, independent clinic — restoring the focus on quality care and community connection.
Today, we continue that legacy: modern systems, a supportive environment, and genuine continuity for both our patients and team.
About Dr Ashley Ng
Ashley grew up in Woodville and has worked in this area for most of his career.
After graduating from the University of Adelaide (MBBS 2010) and completing his GP training in 2015, he’s worked across regional and metro SA, supervised GP registrars, and examined for the RACGP OSCE.
He’s passionate about building a workplace where doctors, nurses, and admin staff all feel valued — and where good systems make good care easier.
Outside of medicine, Ashley’s a husband, dad to two little boys, and dog-dad to Butters the Groodle.
Why Our GPs Stay
Our doctors tell us the difference is simple:
Excellent, capable admin staff who make their day easier
Supportive leadership that actually listens
Calm, organised systems that remove the chaos
Autonomy to practise the way they believe in
A team that genuinely enjoys working together
Most of our GPs joined through word-of-mouth or recommendations from registrars who’ve worked here — and they’ve stayed because the culture is real.
