COVID-19 Information

As COVID-19 continues we have policies to help protect our patients and staff.
Updated 24/5/24

If you have respiratory symptoms…

… Such as a sore throat, runny nose, cough,  fever or change in smell/taste please phone reception to let us know prior to your appointment. Even if you have had a negative RAT or PCR.

You may be required to wait in your car rather than the waiting room to minimise contact time in the clinic.

Masks

It is no longer mandatory to wear masks within our healthcare setting. You are still welcome to wear a mask if you can to protect the vulnerable.

Social Distancing

There’s no lines on the floor, there’s no perspex barriers, but we would appreciate if you are still wary of each other’s space.

Anti-viral medication

Antiviral medication is available to at risk individuals within the first 5 days of contracting COVID. This commonly includes:

– Anyone over the age of 70

– People over the age of 50 with 2 additional risk factors

– First Nations people over the age of 30 with 1 additional risk factor

– People over the age of 18 who are moderately to severly immunocompromised.

Find the full details of eligibility for anti-viral medication here

If you test positive for COVID-19 and are eligible for antivirals, and are a known patient of the clinic, give us a call to let us know and we’ll get back to you to discuss the medication further.
– As there are many significant interactions between antivirals and other medications, it is best to discuss a prescription for antivirals with your usual GP
